Will Martin

From what i hear, the Aggies are set to hire Will Martin as their new cornerbacks coach.

NMSU will make the announcement in the next day or so.

Martin is currently the defensive coordinator/recruiting coordinator at College of the Desert. Here's a link to the coaches profiles from the school. You have to scroll down to find Martin.

The Aggies interviewed five for the position but will end up going with Martin. Although this is his first real crack at a D-I coaching job, I understand he is hungry for the opportunity and ready to roll.

On the offensive side of the ball, the team settled on moving R. Todd Littlejohn to wide receivers coach. It was originally thought that he would coach running backs, although that plan has shifted.

As far as the next running backs coach is concerned, it will not be announced until the team gets the nod from the higher ups at NMSU to fill the position. Have no fear — that time will almost certainly come. But, until then, it will be a wait-and-see type deal. I do understand that the Aggies have it down to a couple candidates to fill the post.

Youth does not bother me.
I actually like to see young coaches show that fire, passion, and hunger vs. older more laid back coaches.
I honestly believe the kids like to see it too!

I think coach Walker sees something special in Coach Martin and will be a good.

a bit of topic............

Teddy, will you explain the current ARP situation with NMSU athletics? How does this affect football. DW is allowed 17 scholarships this year due to ARP, but how many have we lost?

I was just looking at some of these recruits stats. Joyner and Efedi both had 13 sacks. That's unreal. Joyner played in a talent rich San Diego and Efedi is from Texas where the talent is always good. Does anyone know what time the Signing Day party is? I think both of these kids could start as freshman. Ive seen both of there tapes. In 2 years were gonna be pretty darn good.

Whoever gave the link to Sandiegoballers.com thank you. When you all have a moment will you please look at this site. This is where is saw Anthony JOyners Highlight tape. I started looking through tapes and I came accross Leslie Rogers. This kid was on the same team as Joyner, Point Loma High, and he is unreal. I looked him up on Rivals and he has committed to Fresno. Why cant we have Joyner Talk rogers into coming here? Is Joyner gonna go with him to Fresno? Walker and staff are you guys on this? Please if anyone has time, look at Leslie Rogers tape, he is the playmaker we need. He is way better than that Ruffin kid we lost to SDSU , and bigger. Hes like 6'2 and has rediculous speed. Will someone please look into this kid, and please explain to me that if we get Joyner, we need to get Rogers. Don't Let both of them go to Fresno, I hate those guys. Again sandiegoballers.com and look up Leslie Rogers, its free and easy. Walker, we need guys like this, lets make it happen. And I would like to know when signing day party is too...

Wow, you weren't lying about that Rogers kid. Great website... Have we recruited him? Doesnt look like it. Thx for keeping us posted Teddy. Please let Walker know about this guy. I love your articles. i do think in a few yrs were gonna be good. and stick with recruiting young guys, thats how you build a program. A few jc guys here and there are good, but you need 4 yr guys to build a program.

Awesome website, sandiegoballers.com. We need Leslie Rogers, and a few other kids too. Im addicted. I like Anthony Joyner, he likes to hit. Do we know if there are going to be any of the commits at the actual signing day on campus?
