Nevada's pass defense

This is one area NMSU should be able to exploit.

The Wolf Pack are a dreadful 118 out of 119 D-I teams in pass defense. And we all know NMSU likes to pass the football. The Aggies should be able to move the ball on Nevada in this one.

The over/under is 69 for this game. I think both teams will top that with relative ease. Again, it's going to be a track meet, with Nevada running up and down the field and the Aggies dropping back and gunning it.

For all those who criticize NMSU's pass-happy attack? Well, here's your chance to see what works better. Is it a ball-controlled offense, or a throw-happy system. Both will be squaring off on Saturday.

I for one, think that you need to be able to run the ball well and consistently. That doesn't mean the pass doesn't come in handy every now and again. But you need to be a physical team that can mix it up along both the offensive and defensive lines. Get the tough yards when it really means something. It seems like Nevada has a slight edge here.

We'll see what weakness is exposed more — NMSU's rush defense or Nevada's vulnerability to the pass. Whatever team masks its weakness the best stands the best chance to win.

The Aggie offense has to play a COMPLETE game if they expect to win-they have an explosive first two quarters, and then pretty much disappear in the second half. The BEST defense is THEIR offense on the sidelines-Az Aggie

It's offensive strength vs. defensive weakness for both teams.

Whichever one does the better job defensively wiht their weakness,is likely to win. For teh Aggies, that means they have to contain Kaepernick.

The Aggie Offense cannot turn the ball over to Nevada. We need a full team effort. With that, I think a lot of people could be surprised at how well the Aggies do. The potential is there, but it has to come together.

Establish some kind of run game aggies.

Yes, our offense is good early on and then Mumme and the boys take a nap and put all the heat on our defense. If we are the "Air Raid" we should be that for four quarters and continue with the same play calls and score as many points as we can. If our defense is as bad as we all think, Mumme needs to be what he says he is and score some dang points. Our defensive safety is one of the nations leading tacklers, which sounds like a good thing. But, in reality, its a horrible thing. It means our defensive line and linebackers are getting run over.

Mumme, grow a pair and keep scoring some points!

Nevada is good and at home they'll be even tougher.

The Aggies will lose because they have an inept coaching staff that operates an one-dimensional (and not good at that) offense. No playcalling creativity and the inability of Mumme to instill a winning attitude will result in yet another blow-out loss. Ridiculous. There are plenty of schools out there that do ohhh so much more with equal or lesser talent...the bottom line is this: coaching matters. We've got none. Looking forward to yet another "inflated" blog from you on Monday.

- Cheers.
