Chris Williams

The former Aggie is a member of the Canadian Football League, making the 46-man roster of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Williams is slated to be a backup wide receiver/kick returner.

I was always a big fan of Williams and believed he was a pro player. He played hard, had a big heart and put up massive numbers in the Aggies offense.

The Canadian Football League is a good fit for Williams — the field is longer and wider and it’s a passing league with only three downs allowed to pick up a first. Williams has blazing speed, while light on his feet standing at just 5-foot-9, 155 pounds. In short, Williams needs to get the ball and then anything is possible — he can take it to the house at any moment.

It will also provide Williams with a chance to make a good impression on NFL teams.

Good for Chris. We’ll see where it takes him.

Chris Williams and Chase Holbrook were two of the most exciting players the Aggies have ever had. Unfortunately, they never had a solid supporting cast. Williams has the potential to be a big star in the CFL or NFL. I hope he does it. The NFL teams that passed him up before will regret it.
