Another commit?

Just got word NMSU received a verbal from Gary Isaacson. Here's a link.....

I'll track him down and see what I can find out.....

Am I the victim of a faulty memory, or does it seem like NMSU is getting more commitments early in the process than they have in the past? The next step is to get some commitments from three and even four star recruits.
It is unfortunate for NMSU that Matt Ramondo made the choice to go away for the PAC12. That could be good for him, but he almost surely would have become an early starter at NMSU.
I do not blame him, but I can't help but think how nice it would have been.

I'd rather see a big, fast O or D lineman than another QB.

Nice to get another player, just wish we could spread the joy around a bit.

This coaching staff does not mess around. They are going after the best players in New Mexico which traditionally, those players would have opted for UNM. They are actively recruiting and offering a multitude of players from around Arizona, TX, and Colorado. Walker and his staff are well on their way to turning things around for a program that hasn't been anywhere since the 1960's. It's awesome to see that not only are they thinking about the present but also about the future. As one of the previous post states, this is early in the process, but it is great to see early commits vs. scrambling at the last minute to even find enough players to come to NMSU. Good job Aggie coaches! Now let's win a couple more games than last year.

I'm optmistic, but still wary. Ever since I was born the Aggies have been "turning things around." It does appear that Walker is bringing some good players to Las Cruces; but Mumme, Samuel, Hess, etc...they all brought good recruits to Las Cruces and didn't do much...so we'll see what happens with Walker.
