A running backs coach, finally

Lost in the shuffle of Kenny Turner signing was the Aggies finally getting a running backs coach for 2010.

The team hired former Utah State assistant Shaun Johnson to join the staff. Here's his profile with the UtAgs a few years back.

It's about time NMSU got someone here! Now, the staff is complete with spring ball is right around the corner.

looks like a good hire. I just glad we have a complete staff this year.

Looking at the Aggies roster, there are 27 seniors showing. Of those, a little over half are players that have had a significant playing role that I recognize. A number were probably walk-ons who serve as squadmen that add depth for practice and seldom if ever play.

The question I have is how many of these 27 are scholarship players? In other words, how many players are the Aggies likely to be able to sign next year? This seems to be the largest group of seniors in several years.

If you want a kick ass article to write. how about write one on the basketball game where Stew Morrill told JY to shut the f up. It was right in front of the refs and they didn't even T him up. That was the reason why Menzies and another coach were pissed and yelling.
